Great show! i had to download Windows Media Player to listen, so missed most of it. 🙁
Thanks for doing that, I can only imagine how intimidating it could have been, but you did a great job! Thanks

I caught a few minutes of your appearance on Relevant Radio today, but I tuned out when the host started dissing Darwinism. I thought: Oh, no! Not one of those literal creationists! I can hear that nonsense at almost any time on countless radio and TV programs. I don’t have time now, but I want to engage you further on such anti-intellectualism. I hope that’s not where you’re coming from.

Hey girl! I didn’t know you’d be on today and happened to leave work early, turned on Relevant Radio…and THERE YOU WERE! I unfortunately didn’t catch all of it (missed the second half) but heard your discussion of the “pro-choice” semantics. And I have to say..it’s nice to finally put a voice to your words.

Can I have your autograph now that you’re a radio celebrity? 🙂

Anon – When Drew was talking about Darwinism I’m pretty sure he was referring to people who for whatever reason think that the theory of evolution explains everything and rules out God. I don’t think that that necessarily means that he’s a literal creationist, just that he disagrees that evolution explains everything (just a guess though).

Oh – and thanks Joy and Adoro!

For the record…I don’t think Drew ascribes to Creationism. He rather tends to bring up the different positions in order to obtain discussions about them. So at times he will SEEM to take a certain point and then throughotu the segment will reveal what he really believes…but only occasionally. My overall impression of him is that he is an orthodox Catholic, although it’s clear he tries hard to garner all positions and has actively argued all points.

That’s his job, and it’s a gift, too, to be able to do that.

    I couldn’t.

I just finished listening to your interview with Relevant Radio. Talk radio is not my favorite venue for lots of reasons, but you did an outstanding job with the intereview.

Your personal conversion and accompanying ‘calling’ help you to see the ‘subject person of interest’ (athiest or whoerver)in a more charitable light than most people allow for and that’s a great aid. Beyond that you seem to have the gift of ‘counsel’ as I took up in the Novena (7th day) reflections. It’s the ability to rely on a ‘spiritual intuition’ and let the Holy Spirit enter into the discussion. I’m not sure if you are consiously aware of this gift, but I would say its in play.

When people lack this gift they wind up in arguments with their ‘brother-in-laws’ instead of moving them towards conversion. So yes, its the ‘research into the questions of truth without fear’…but its more besides.

I’m beginning to appreciate your talents and ‘spiritual gifts’ more and more.
