Half-Baked Thought Thursday

June 12, 2008 | Uncategorized | 5 comments

In my massive “blog topic ideas” list, I have a large category that I call “Half-Baked Thoughts” where I jot down ideas for topics that I find intriguing but can’t quite articulate what I think about them. Every time I scan the list I think it’s a shame that I can’t put together a coherent post about these topics since so many of them are wonderful food for thought.

The other day I was thinking about how fortunate I am to have such intelligent, insightful commenters, and it occurred to me: maybe I should ask you guys for input in parsing through some of these ideas! So I think I’m going to try something new and do a Half-Baked Thought Thursday every now and then (probably not every week), where I throw out some of these half-baked topics and rely on you guys to help me clarify them.

I’m looking forward to these discussions. I think it’ll be fun.

    What a tease! Nothing today?

I look forward to it, too. What a great idea!

My ‘half baked thoughts’ died and went to heaven with my recently crashed hard drive (unbacked up of course), so do back up those thoughts.

Since my ‘linked post’ refuses to show up as linked at the end of your comments I wanted to alert you to this: Rebuild My Church. This is connected to your recent survey of faith climate outside the US: a very excellent post. I didn’t want to comment on the survey post as I thought it would interfere with the respondents flow.

I mention in my post that you might want to (or not) follow up with some thoughts. Another item to add to half baked thoughts list. Peace and all good.

You’ve inspired me to do my own half-baked Thursday post. Thanks.
