The World’s Toughest Catholic Quiz

My aunt just sent me “The World’s Toughest Catholic Quiz.” I got seven wrong. Looks like I need to do a bit more reading. 🙂

  1. Dennis

I missed 3. But on two of them, Karl is wrong, so I didn’t really miss them; he’s just wrong. And the 3rd one, I didn’t read the question carefully enough.

He admits in his explanation to #5 that there are very specific cases in which a person guilty of mortal sin may receive communion without first receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, which I’m already aware of. So I was using that possibility to inform my answer, and even though his explanation of the right and wrong answers admit this possibility, if you factor it in to your answer, you end up getting 5 and 10 “wrong” by his scoring.

I’m feeling a little ripped off. He should rework it.

Still, it could be a fun exercise to do with a group if you had people who were open to the Church’s actual teaching on stuff.

I found myself easily knocking out three options, then having to decide between two choices with one of those choices being the right one.

I am with Dennis. I missed three as well, but only one of them was a legit miss.

On number 5 he most definetely gives the incorrect answer based on how the question is worded and the existing exceptions.

On one of the others I found myself confused by the wording of the answers. I can honestly say I would have gotten it if the answers were worded more clearly.

Not that testing seriously or anything. 😉

Anyway, it was pretty fun despite the fact it needs a bit of improvement.

  4. Kevin

I got all 20 right. Some of them might be considered “trick” questions, because the true statement doesn’t actually answer the question. It’s just not false. The only way to get a perfect score is to eliminate the wrong answers, and pick whatever is left.
