Google’s algorithm is amazing!

Look who’s the #3 search result for “socially awkward person“! Number THREE. Out of the entire internet.

It’s like they’re psychic.

  1. Matilda

I have had so much fun keeping track of the various search terms that have led people to my blog.

    This one made me giggle.

  2. Letum

    That’s absolutely amazing…and odd.

I thought of you today when my social phobia gripped me during the passing of the peace at a new & unfamiliar church. “Must shake hands with everyone around me”, I kept mumbling to my self, when I wanted to stop. That’s E Tu Jen. Changing the world one handshake at a time!

Hehe. If you make it more obscure, you can even hit the top. For instance:
    Scettrini Corippo Ticino
gets my genealogy page about my Scettrini ancestors from the little village of Corippo in Ticino!

It’s funny you see the sign of peace as an opportunity for being awkward. One thing that has made my return to the Church even more difficult is that I now live in Denmark (I’m from California). So many of the things I have no idea how to say, even though I speak the language fluently, since they aren’t direct translations, as I found out when I said to the person next to me “fred vær med dig!” (literally, peace be with you) and got a startled expression. I found out that what you say in Danish is “Guds fred” or “Kristi fred” which mean respectively “God’s peace” and “Christ’s peace”. It seems that what I said is apparently something you say about dead people, a sort of “RIP” good wishes. Ooops.

Just thought I would share my own social awkwardness.

Haha, that’s hilarious. But if they were really psychic that phrase would link to my blog. 🙂

Hey, is there some way of finding out how people found your blog? I’d be really curious to try that out.

Get a site meter, and you can assuage your darkest curiosities. Warning: checking your stats is addictive.

Oh, I hate it when I do that wrong.

    Let’s try it again:
    site meter.

    Cool — thanks!

If you haven't looked in a while, your string is now the number one result!

I started reading your blog from the beginning a month ago or so, and wanted to thank you for your content. It helps even this cradle Catholic keep in touch with his faith!
