Merry Christmas!
I’ll be spending the rest of the week baking cookies and carefully wrapping presents as I sip spiced cider (I’m lying; I’ll be driving like a maniac from one store to another to finish my shopping, then randomly slapping tape and wrapping paper over boxes at 2 A.M. on Christmas Eve). Anyway, I thought we’d skip 7 Quick Takes Friday this week since it falls on Christmas Eve.
Also, anyone in the mood for a Christmas miracle? You may recall that a couple months ago I asked for prayers for Bonnie‘s baby James, who went without a heartbeat for 61 minutes after he was born. The doctors had been just about to give up when his heart began beating again. The initial medical tests didn’t look good, and his parents were warned about the severe lifelong disabilities that would probably result. Bonnie and her husband asked everyone to pray, in particular to ask Fulton Sheen for his prayers for James’ healing. At three months old, James had another MRI yesterday, and it showed complete healing. No brain damage. Bonnie writes about the joyous news here.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Merry Christmas, Jen! Looking forward to getting together in the New Year! Rest up and have a great Christmas.
Jen, I love hearing and saying MERRY CHRISTMAS. It just feels so liberating!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Love your sense of humor as always. Thanks for telling it to us straight Jen. We’re so there with you. I’ve learned, however, that it all works out in the end, no matter how well the tape is applied (or not).
PEACE and JOY to you, friend.

What a wonderful Christmas miracle!
Have a blessed Christmas day AND of course may you enjoy celebrating also the rest of the Christmas season. We get to keep enjoying after the rush and bustle, and enter into a time of peace before Epiphany. Love it!
Glad to have another miracle to put in the ‘thank-you’ pile!
Have a blessed Christmas.

Happy Holidays to all! I’m still doing 7 Quick Takes Friday over at my blog http://ourlivesworksinprogress.blogspot.com if anyone wants to read. I’m just going to write it today and have it automatically post tomorrow. I could use some readers, as my blog is new and I am trying to help raise some funds for the adoption of a little boy with Down Syndrome (Reece’s Rainbow Christmas Warrior program). The ChipIn widget is set to get all the money contributed directly to Reece’s Rainbow and will be set aside for Ivan’s future adoptive family. Exciting, right? Stop on by.
I wish everyone a safe and beautiful holiday season.
I wanted to mention that I am so pleased to hear about that baby’s recovery and I hope all goes smoothly for him from here on out. (-: That (the news about his healing) is a beautiful thing to read at any time of year.
Merry Christmas to all!
61 minutes without any heartbeat and now fully healthy? Are you sure about this? A very great miracle indeed!
Praise be to God for James and his family!
And a very Merry Christmas to you, Jen.
Merry Christmas Jennifer. Great to hear about Bonnie’s baby. Christmas miracles always make my day.
