I don’t anticipate that my blogging at the Register will impact Conversion Diary much at all. I’m certainly not stepping away from this blog, and I don’t even plan to post any less. One of the reasons I felt comfortable taking on a new project is that is that my writing over there will be complementary to my writing here. At the Register my focus will be on current events, pop culture, world issues, etc. — all subjects that I generally veer away from over here. I’m looking forward to having an outlet to discuss those topics without diluting the focus of this blog.
I won’t link to every Register post from here, though I will occasionally link to those that I think would be of interest to Conversion Diary readers.
If you’re not familiar with the National Catholic Register, I encourage you to check it out. It really is a high quality publication full of interesting, relevant content (and I’m not just saying that because they asked me to blog for them — promise!) There are two other new faces on the blogging team as well: Simcha Fisher (of I have to sit down), and Tito Edwards (of Pulp.It and The American Catholic). Go say hi to them as well!
