Happy Easter!
He is Risen!
I hope everyone had a blessed Triduum and is enjoying a beautiful Easter. To celebrate, here’s one of my favorite pieces of music of all time, Dum Transisset Sabbatum (After the Sabbath had Passed). Turn your speakers way up for this one.
Also, on an administrative note, I had said that the Our Father series would be a Lenten series, but that was before I actually counted the number of words in the prayer and looked at a calendar. So the series continues tomorrow, and will probably continue throughout the Easter season.
Happy Easter!

Very happy and blessed Easter, Jen, to you and all your family.
Happy and blessed Easter to you and your family! I am looking forward to the series continuing.
Happy Easter! May your fifty days of feasting be filled with peace and great rejoicing 🙂
Happy Easter! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Hey Jen,
Happy Easter to you and your family!
I’ve never heard this piece of polyphony before, but it was lovely. I posted one, too, by Brummel and sung by Tallis Scholars.

Check it out. Let me know what you think…
Jennifer, I’m sure you enjoyed the day with your family. My husband, who likes sitting toward the back of the church, surprised me by finding a spot just a few rows from the front, dead center, this morning. It was a glorious Mass with beautiful flowers of every color, lilies included of course, wonderful music and a most blessed message! Alleluia again and again! 🙂 And peace be with you always…
What a beautiful song! Thank you for sharing. Happy Easter!
Absolutely sublime. Happy Eastertide Jen! You give great insight and solace to everyone.
What lovely Easter music. There are so many beautiful hymn songs for Easter. I’m still enjoying them throughout this Easter week. Thank you for a delightful visit.
